Fixed Price (Default)
Use for services with a set price:

- Most common for standard services
Variable Price
Use when price depends on factors:
- Shows "From [price]" in online booking (e.g., "From $50")
- Enter the starting/minimum price
- Final price adjusted at checkout
- Great for services like hair coloring where product usage varies
Tiered Price
Use for different prices per staff level:
- Create pricing tiers (Junior, Senior, Expert, etc.)
- Set price AND duration per tier
- Assign staff members to each tier
- In online booking, price adjusts based on selected staff

Use case scenarios
Scenario 1: Fixed-price haircut
"Men's haircut" is always 5,000 Ft, regardless of who does it. Type: Fixed. Customers know exactly what they'll pay before booking.
Scenario 2: Variable-price color
"Hair color" depends on hair length and how much color is used. Type: Variable, starting price 12,000 Ft. The customer sees "from 12,000 Ft" online; the final price is set at the till.
Scenario 3: Tiered manicure
Junior manicurist 4,500 Ft, Senior 6,500 Ft, Master 9,000 Ft. Type: Tiered, three levels. Customer selects who she wants and sees the corresponding price. Staff with the right tier auto-show.
Scenario 4: Promotional pricing
"Color refresh" normal price 8,000 Ft. For a winter promo, set the promotional price to 6,000 Ft for a 3-week date range. The customer sees the discounted price highlighted.
Scenario 5: Free service for opening
Salon offers free 15-min consultations for new clients. Type: Fixed, price 0 Ft. Show on booking page so anyone can grab one without barriers.
Tips
- Use fixed for predictable services: cuts, basic facials, standard treatments.
- Variable when final cost is genuinely unknown: color, length-dependent services.
- Tiered when staff experience matters to price: junior/senior/master pricing.
- Update prices yearly, not monthly: customers notice and resent constant changes.
- Always check the customer view: "from X" vs "fixed X" reads differently. Make sure your pricing communicates as intended.
