Portal setup and brand customization
How to enable, set colors and logo, and integrate with your salon brand
Portal setup and brand customization
The customer portal runs on every salon (Bookinda provides it automatically), but the appearance needs customization to match your brand.
Where to find it
Settings → Whitelabel (or /manager/whitelabel directly).
Brand settings
Portal primary color
The customer-side app's primary color (buttons, highlighted elements).
- Hex value (e.g., #FF6B6B)
- Or color picker UI
Should match your booking page primary color, or close to it, for a seamless transition.
Portal logo
Your salon logo shown in the portal header.
- PNG or SVG format
- Transparent background recommended
- Size: ideal 200x60 pixels
Other whitelabel settings
Email templates, booking page appearance all tie into this setting.
What's the default
If you set nothing, the portal uses Bookinda's default style: blue-white, generic logo. Works, but the customer doesn't feel it's yours.
Manager-side notes
All portal features are on by default. No separate on/off for the portal. What you have:
- Every salon customer record is automatically a portal member
- Customer uses email+password or Google sign-in
- Portal contains everything the customer is entitled to
Use case scenarios
"New salon, brand match"
Whitelabel → portal primary purple (salon brand color), portal logo (your logo). Now the portal looks like yours.
"Multi-location, shared brand"
Whitelabel settings are salon-level. Every location's customers see the same brand face.
"Logo swap"
Salon rebranding. Upload new logo PNG. All customers see the new logo on next login.
"Unsure about color choice"
Already set a primary on the booking page. Copy that to the portal too. Unified customer experience.
Tips
- Both surfaces should be consistent: booking page and portal feel like one to the customer.
- Logo with transparent background: portal header may have low contrast, transparent logo always looks good.
- Primary color shouldn't be too loud: portal has lots of customer screen time.
- Test on different devices: open portal on mobile, tablet, desktop.
- Whitelabel change applies to all customers: new brand face goes live immediately.
