Push notifications are instant little messages sent to the customer's phone. Much more effective than email or SMS.

Where in the portal

After login, the Notifications section. Customer:

  • Enables push notifications (browser permission)
  • Configures granularly what they want

Push notification categories

Customer can toggle 7+ categories individually:

1. Booking notifications

  • Booking confirmation
  • 24-hour reminder
  • 2-hour reminder
  • Reschedule happened
  • Cancellation happened

2. Engagement notifications

  • Review request after visit
  • Book-again reminder

3. Loyalty notifications

  • Milestone rewards earned

  • Package expiry approaching

How push works

Push goes through the browser or mobile app:

  1. Customer enables push in browser (once)
  2. Toggles desired categories in portal
  3. Notifications arrive instantly

Compliance and opt-in

Push ONLY arrives if customer:

  1. Enabled in browser
  2. Toggled on in portal preference

Use case scenarios

Scenario 1: Flash sale

"1 hour 50% off" promo. Push to everyone who enabled Promotions-Flash. Bookings start in 5 minutes.

Scenario 2: Booking reminder

Customer at 1pm: "Appointment with Anna at 3pm." Doesn't forget.

Scenario 3: Waitlist hit

Existing booking cancels, slot opens. Push to waitlist person. Books in seconds.

Scenario 4: Loyalty milestone

"Congrats, you're now Silver!" Wow moment.

Scenario 5: Package expiry

  • Push is the most effective channel: 80%+ delivery rate.
  • Use promotion pushes carefully: too many, customer kills push.
