Regional, business details and appearance
The Regional tab is your salon's brand face: business name, description, photos, reviews, features. Plus language, timezone, and currency format.
Business basics
- Business name: as customers see it on the booking page and emails
- URL slug: the part before yourname.bookinda.hu (locked, only support can change)
- Full description: a few sentences about your salon, shows on public profile and online booking
- Contact: phone and email (customers see, can differ from your internal email)
- Social media: Web, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok URLs
Gallery and reviews
- Photos: upload gallery, the first photo is the cover. 5-10 good photos minimum.
- Reviews: customer reviews live here, gathered by Bookinda's automatic review-request email
Features
A list of features your salon offers:
- Free WiFi
- Parking available
- Wheelchair accessible
- Card payment
- Pet-friendly
- etc.
These appear as small icons on your public profile so customers see at a glance what matters to them.
Regional settings
- Language: manager UI default language (HU or EN). Customer booking page shows in both anyway.
- Timezone: usually Europe/Budapest. The calendar uses this.
- Currency: HUF for Hungarian salon. Drives prices, reports, invoices.
Currency format
How prices display:
- Symbol (Ft)
- Position (after the amount, as "5 000 Ft")
- Decimal places (HUF usually 0)
- Thousand separator (space or period)
- Decimal separator (comma in Hungarian convention)
Use case scenarios
Scenario 1: First day of a new salon
At launch: fill in business name, write description, upload 5-7 photos, tick features (WiFi, parking, card). 30 minutes, done.
Scenario 2: Seasonal description update
In the description field, around Christmas, add: "Extended hours during the holiday season". Remove in January.
Scenario 3: Photo refresh
You renovated the salon. Delete old photos, upload new pro shots. Booking page looks modern.
Scenario 4: Currency format issue
Customer reports prices show "5,000 Ft" (with comma) and looks weird. Change currency format to use space as thousand separator: "5 000 Ft".
Tips
- Write the description in customer language: not marketing slogan, just clear and inviting a few sentences.
- Photos > text: customers decide on photos 90% of the time. Invest in pro photography.
- Don't over-feature: 5-10 features is plenty. More than that, nobody scans them.
- Currency format is small but important: Hungarian convention is "5 000 Ft" (space, Ft after). Match it.
- Language setting affects only the manager: customer-side translation is handled per service translation.
