Locations, manage salon branches
Create and edit one or many salon locations: hours, address, contact
Locations
The Locations tab manages the physical branches of your salon. Single location? You have one default. Multiple locations? You set up each here.
What you configure per location
Each location record holds:
- Name: e.g., "Bookinda Downtown", "Bookinda Buda"
- Code: short identifier (e.g., "DT", "BUDA"), shows in reports and invoices
- Description: optional details for customers
- Address: street, city, postal code, country
- Contact: phone, email, website
- Social media: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok URLs
- Timezone: usually Europe/Budapest
- Currency: HUF for a Hungarian salon
- Hours: weekly grid, per location
With multiple locations
When you add more than one, the manager UI everywhere shows a location switcher: Calendar, Team, Resources, many reports are location-filterable. Data is segregated.
Location-specific data
A location owns:
- Its own hours (one salon open 9-18, another 10-19)
- Its own resources (Treatment Room A is only at branch 1)
- Its own staff (Anna only works downtown)
- Its own bookings
Use case scenarios
Scenario 1: Opening a second location
A new salon opens in 3 months. Now you add it in Settings: address, phone, hours. Add resources too. By launch day everything's ready, just share the booking link.
Scenario 2: Address change
The salon moves to a neighboring street. Locations, edit, change the address. The Google Maps link and booking page update automatically.
Scenario 3: Reduced winter hours
You shorten winter hours: 9-18 to 10-17. Locations, edit, hours grid, adjust per weekday. Online booking aligns instantly.
Scenario 4: Holiday closure
Closed for Christmas. Locations, edit, mark affected days as closed. Customers can't book those days.
Tips
- Even single-location, fill the contact info: it goes into customer emails and Google.
- Keep the location code short and clear: good "DT" / "BUDA"; bad "L1" / "L2".
- Hours here are "salon's official hours": posted to Google Maps. Actual booking availability comes from staff schedule, see Staff Schedule.
- Address must be precise: drives the "Get directions" link on the booking page and emails.
- Add resources and staff before going live: otherwise online booking shows no availability.
