Use case scenarios

Scenario 1: Holiday-season ready

A salon turns on online voucher sales in early November. By December, 30% of December's revenue comes from voucher sales (gifts for friends, family, partners). They never see the customers buying, but the recipients show up in January.

Scenario 2: Spa with high-value gifting

A premium spa sells vouchers in fixed denominations of 25k, 50k, and 100k. Customers buying gifts love the polished templates; the spa loves the high average ticket. They set a 12-month expiry to encourage redemption while staying within consumer-protection rules.

Scenario 3: Custom-amount preferred

A small studio doesn't want to manage many templates. They turn on Custom Amount with a 5,000 Ft minimum and 100,000 Ft maximum. Every voucher is a custom amount typed at issue time. Less polished, but zero template maintenance.

Scenario 4: Long-term flexibility

A salon sets default expiry to "Never". Vouchers don't expire, customers can redeem any time. Compliant with strict consumer-protection law and avoids the hassle of managing expiry warnings.

Tips

  • Set sensible min/max: 5,000-200,000 Ft is typical for Hungarian salons. Below 5k feels cheap, above 200k is rare.
  • Local regulations matter: in Hungary, consumer-protection law often forbids voucher expiry (or sets minimum 5 years). Check with your legal advisor before applying expiry.
  • Use a recognizable prefix: "GV-" or your salon's initials. Makes it easy to spot vouchers in transaction reports.
  • Test the customer purchase flow: open your booking page in incognito and try buying a voucher. The receiving experience matters as much as the buying one.
