Configuring the Points System
The points system is the foundation of your loyalty program. Configure how customers earn and redeem points.
Points Earning Settings
Points per Currency Unit
Set how many points customers earn per unit of currency spent:
- 1 point per $1 (recommended starting point)
- 2 points per $1 (more generous)
- 0.5 points per $1 (more conservative)
Currency per Point (Redemption)
Set the value of each point when redeeming:
- $0.01 per point (100 points = $1 off)
- $0.02 per point (50 points = $1 off)
Point Expiration
Choose when unused points expire:
- 12 months from earning (standard)
- 24 months from earning (generous)
- Never expire (maximum flexibility)
Earning Rules
Configure how customers can earn points beyond purchases:
Purchase Points
- Type: Incremental (per dollar) or Fixed (flat amount)
- Minimum amount: Only award points above threshold
- Example: 1 point per $1 spent, minimum $10 purchase
Review Bonus

- Points: Fixed amount (e.g., 50 points)
- Limit: Max reviews per month (prevent gaming)
Online Booking Bonus
- Enable: Extra points for booking online
- Points: Fixed amount (e.g., 10 points)
- Minimum value: Only for appointments above amount
Appointment Completion Bonus

Example Configuration
| Setting | Value |

| Points per $1 | 1 point |
| Point value | $0.01 |
| Expiration | 12 months |
| Review bonus | 50 points (max 2/month) |
| Online booking | 10 points |
| Completion bonus | 20 points |
With this setup, a $100 service booked online earns:
- 100 points (purchase) + 10 points (online) + 20 points (completion) = 130 points
