Get to know Bookinda

Bookinda is a Hungarian-built business management system for service businesses. You manage bookings, clients, your team, finances and marketing in one place, instead of juggling spreadsheets and separate tools.

Who is it for?

Bookinda is used regularly by:

  • Salons (hair, beauty, nails, massage)
  • Wellness and spa providers, hotel spas
  • Private instructors (yoga, fitness, pilates, training)
  • Healthcare practices (dental, physiotherapy)
  • Tanning studios
  • Sports centres and group class providers

If your business runs on appointments, the system can probably be tailored to fit.

What can the system do?

Calendar and bookings

Drag-and-drop calendar with multiple staff side by side at hour-level detail. Day, 3-day, week and month views. A separate group class view, recurring appointments, blocked times (breaks, time off), and both online and in-person bookings live in the same calendar.

Online booking

Your clients can book 24/7 on your subdomain (e.g. yoursalon.bookinda.hu) or on your own custom domain. They pick a service, a staff member and a time, and can even pay a deposit (Barion, Stripe). You can control how far ahead bookings are allowed, when cancellations are still accepted, and you can even block new clients when your calendar is full.

Client management

Detailed client cards with allergy notes, photos, booking history and total spend. Segments (VIP, regular, new), CSV import from your old system, and an AI-powered import wizard for Fresha or Treatwell exports.

Finances and till

Till module with daily open and close, payouts, and reconciliation. Invoicing through the Billingo and Számlázz.hu integrations, live revenue and expense tracking, P&L report, KATA monthly fee tracker (Hungarian flat-rate tax), bank CSV import, clean export for your accountant. Online payments (Barion, Stripe) and card terminals (Stripe Reader) are supported.

Team management

Add team members by email invite. Permission levels (Owner, Manager, Receptionist, Staff), individual working hours, time off and absence handling, GPS-based clock in and out. Set commissions per service and product, automatic monthly payroll calculation.

Marketing and retention

Email campaigns, automations (birthday greetings, win-back, package expiry reminders). Memberships, packages, gift cards, promo codes, loyalty points. A referral program where existing clients earn discounts for bringing in new ones.

AI features

The AI Assistant answers questions about your own data ("who was the highest-spending client last year?"). The AI Receptionist automatically understands appointment requests received by email and books them if there is a free slot.

Specialized modules (only when needed)

  • Hotel and spa: Hostware PMS bridge, room charge, guest profile intelligence
  • Tanning: minute-based passes, machine picker, age limit checks
  • Healthcare: medical practice support, EESZT integration
  • NTAK TSS: tourism data reporting for spas and attractions (Hungary)
  • Team chat: in-system messaging between staff

How to get started

After registering, an onboarding wizard guides you through the main steps. If you have closed it, this is the logical order:

1. Business profile

Settings → Profile. Enter your business name, address, phone number, upload a logo. These appear in notification emails and on the online booking page.

2. Locations and hours

If you operate at one address, the default MAIN location is fine. Multiple sites? Add them under Settings → Locations, each with its own opening hours and staff. Rooms and equipment (massage table, tanning bed) live under Resources if you need them.

3. Services

Services menu → New category, then new service. For each: name, price, duration, VAT, description, who can perform it. If a service has variants (short hair vs long hair), you can add those as well.

4. Team

Team → Staff menu. Add your colleagues, send them an email invite to set their own password. For each you can configure what they see and edit, plus their working hours.

5. Activate online booking

Online Booking → Settings. This is where you turn on the public booking page. The default URL is the subdomain you picked at registration (e.g. yoursalon.bookinda.hu/book). You can connect your own domain too.

6. Test booking

Before going live, book an appointment yourself through the client side. That way you see exactly what your client experiences.

Plans and pricing

Bookinda comes in Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans with different feature sets. Your current plan and details live under Account → Subscription, or check pricing at bookinda.hu/arak.

During the 14-day trial all Business-tier features are unlocked so you can try everything.

Where to find help

The Help Center groups detailed articles by category. Browse on the left, search at the top. Every major module has a dedicated article with setup steps and tips.

Ready? The logical first step is setting up your business profile.
