Setting up your business profile

Walk through every tab on the Profile page so your salon looks polished to customers

Setting up your business profile

Your business profile is the public face of your salon on Bookinda. It feeds the booking page, your subdomain (yourname.bookinda.hu), confirmation emails, and search results. The cleaner and more complete this is, the more bookings you'll get from new visitors.

You'll find everything under Settings → Profile. The page has six tabs and we'll go through each one.

1. General tab

This is where the basics live. The page is split into five blocks, each with its own Save button so you can update one section at a time.

Basic Information

  • Business Name: shown on your booking page, in emails, and on receipts. Use the name customers actually know you by.
  • URL Slug: this is locked. It's the part before .bookinda.hu in your subdomain. If you really need to change it, contact support so we can redirect old links.

Description

A few sentences about what makes your salon special. This shows up on your public profile right under your name. Don't oversell, just tell people what to expect when they walk in.

Contact Information

  • Phone: customers will call this number from your booking page.
  • Email: this is the email customers see, not the one you log in with. It can be the same, but you can also use a "hello@" or "info@" address here.

Social Media

Drop in your full URLs for Website, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Empty fields just don't show up, so only add the ones you actually maintain.

Address

Street, city, postal code, and country. This appears on your booking page and powers the "Get directions" link. Make sure it matches what's on Google Maps so customers find you.

2. Business Hours tab

Set your weekly opening hours here. Online booking respects these hours automatically: customers can only pick slots when you're open.

A few things worth knowing:

  • These are the salon's hours. Each staff member can have their own working hours under Team.
  • If you want to close for a day (holiday, training day, vacation), use Closed Days instead of editing your weekly hours.
  • Lunch breaks aren't set here, they belong to staff schedules.

3. Regional tab

Three settings that affect how the system presents data:

  • Language: the default language for your team and your booking page. Most Hungarian salons use Magyar.
  • Timezone: leave this on Europe/Budapest unless you actually operate from another country. This is what appointments are displayed in.
  • Currency: HUF for Hungarian salons. This shows up on prices, reports, and invoices.

4. Photos tab

Your gallery. Customers judge your salon in seconds, so this matters more than people think.

  • Upload 5 to 10 quality photos minimum. Show the space, the chairs, the products, and the work.
  • Landscape (wide) photos work better than portrait.
  • Recommended cover image size is around 1200x800 pixels.
  • The first photo is your cover image, the rest appear in the gallery.

If you don't have professional photos, even good phone shots in natural daylight beat stock images.

5. Reviews tab

This is where you see customer reviews of your salon. Bookinda automatically asks customers for a review after their appointment via email. You can:

  • See all reviews and their star ratings
  • Respond to reviews (your reply shows up on your public profile)
  • Filter by rating

Reviews show up on your public booking page and they help convert new visitors. Don't ignore the negative ones, a thoughtful reply often wins back the customer and impresses everyone else reading.

6. Features tab

Tick the amenities your salon offers: Free WiFi, parking, wheelchair accessibility, card payment, and so on. These show up as little icons on your public profile so customers can spot at a glance whether you tick the boxes that matter to them.

How it looks to customers

After saving, visit yourname.bookinda.hu in a private browser window to see your public profile from the customer's perspective. This is exactly what shows up when someone follows your booking link from Instagram, Google, or a flyer.

Tips

  • Fill in everything you can on day one. A half-empty profile looks sketchy.
  • Use the same business name across Google, Instagram, and Bookinda so people know they've found the right place.
  • If you change your phone number or address, update it here first. Bookinda is the source of truth for your booking emails.
  • Once your profile looks good, the next steps are adding your team and setting up services.
