Internal team messaging in Bookinda so receptionists, managers and therapists communicate inside the system instead of personal Messenger accounts.
Staff Chat
Staff Chat is the in-app messenger for your team. Receptionists, managers and therapists can DM each other, create topical groups (e.g. Masseurs, Weekend reception), and the manager can post a tenant-wide broadcast.
It runs in real time over Socket.IO, so messages appear instantly.
Where to find it
Sidebar → Staff & Operations → Csapat chat (Hungarian for "Team chat") or directly /manager/chat.
Channel types
- DM (Direct Message): 1-on-1 with anyone on the team
- Group: topical channel with multiple members; only owner/manager can create
- Broadcast: manager-only post, all staff read; one per tenant
Permissions
- Owner / manager: create groups and broadcasts, delete any message, add/remove members.
- Anyone: DM anyone, send messages in channels they're a member of, delete their own messages, mute channels.
- Customers: have no access. The chat is internal only.
Future iterations
Coming next: mobile push (with the Staff app), mentions, attachments, appointment / customer pinning, web push for backgrounded tabs.
