Using Shift Templates
Shift templates help you quickly apply standard weekly schedules to staff members, saving time and ensuring consistency.
Available Templates
Standard (9-18)
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 - 18:00
- Saturday and Sunday: Off
- Best for: Full-time office/salon staff
Early Shift (7-15)
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 - 15:00
- Saturday and Sunday: Off
- Best for: Opening staff, early appointments
Late Shift (12-20)
- Monday to Friday: 12:00 - 20:00
- Saturday: 12:00 - 20:00
- Sunday: Off
- Best for: Evening appointments, late opening
Weekend
- Monday to Friday: Off
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 - 18:00
- Best for: Weekend-only staff
Part-time
- Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 - 14:00
- Thursday to Sunday: Off
- Best for: Part-time morning staff
Applying a Template
- Click the dropdown menu (three dots) on a staff member row
- Select Apply Template
- A panel opens showing all available templates
- Review the template preview (shows working days and hours)
- Click the template you want to apply
- Confirm the action
Template Preview
Each template shows:
- Working days per week
- Total weekly hours
- Visual day indicators
Important Notes
- Applying a template overwrites the current weekly schedule
- Changes affect all weeks, not just the current view
- You can customize individual days after applying a template
- Templates are a starting point - modify as needed
Use case scenarios
Scenario 1: New hire baseline
New stylist needs a schedule. Apply "Standard Mon-Fri" template, customize Saturday separately. 1 minute of setup.
Scenario 2: Multiple role patterns
Salon has receptionist (5x/week, 9-5) and stylist (4x/week, 10-7) patterns. Two templates, applied per role.
Scenario 3: Seasonal switch
Summer vs winter hours differ. Two templates, switched seasonally with one click each per staff.
