Group classes module overview

Bookinda group classes module: events, participants, passes, debts, settings

Group classes module

The Group Classes module is a full class-management system: handle events with multiple participants at the same time. Yoga studios, fitness gyms, dance classes, group beauty workshops all fit here.

Where to find it

Left sidebar, Group Classes menu. Six sub-pages:

  1. Classes (main page) – calendar view and participant overview
  2. Settings – global rules (capacity, booking window, waitlist, auto-cancel)
  3. Categories – class type groupings (yoga, HIIT, dance)
  4. Pass Templates – reusable pass types
  5. Passes – passes issued to customers
  6. Debts – list of non-paying customers

What it does in short

Event management

  • One-off or recurring classes
  • Multiple instructors per class (multi-instructor, appears in each calendar)
  • Per-class capacity
  • Per-class pricing (overrides the service price)
  • Color coding for visual organization
  • States: SCHEDULED, FULL, CANCELLED

Participants

  • One person can book multiple seats (multi-spot)
  • Status tracking: REGISTERED → CONFIRMED → ATTENDED / NO_SHOW / CANCELLED
  • Check-in / check-out button on the event
  • Per-participant notes
  • Waitlist when capacity is full

Passes

  • Templates: fixed session count or unlimited
  • Validity: day, week, month, year, fixed date, or no expiry
  • "Activates on first use" option
  • Shared passes (family/friends)
  • Category-specific or all-class scope
  • Lifecycle: ACTIVE, PAUSED, EXPIRED, CANCELLED
  • Auto-deduction on check-in

Debts

  • Customer arrives without a pass → automatic debt
  • No-show with mandatory payment → debt
  • Resolution: by pass, payment, or forgiveness

Auto-cancel

  • Auto-cancels class if minimum participants not met
  • Time-window check (e.g., previous day at 22:00)

When to use it

Scenario 1, yoga studio with monthly passes Recurring classes 8 weeks, 12 spots. Customers buy 10-class passes (valid for 3 months). Check-in auto-deducts the class. System warns if the pass expires.

Scenario 2, fitness gym with multiple instructors Monday 18:00 HIIT, Tuesday 19:00 spinning, two instructors. Recurring weekly. Each instructor sees their own classes in their calendar.

Scenario 3, one-off workshop A single 3-hour decolletage workshop, 6 spots. One-off event, fixed price, bookable online.

Scenario 4, hybrid group beauty service One time slot, 4 people, each with their own treatment. Group-class format with capacity, but each participant has a distinct service description.

How customers get in

Three ways:

  1. Online booking (tenant.bookinda.hu/book) if published
  2. Manager interface (you book someone manually)
  3. Customer Portal (logged-in customer books themselves)
