Use case scenarios
Scenario 1: Campaign performance review
After a 30-day SUMMER25 campaign, look at: total redemptions, total discount given, new customers acquired. ROI clear.
Scenario 2: Identify top performers
Multiple promo codes running. The Promo dashboard ranks by redemption count and revenue. Promote the winners, retire the losers.
Scenario 3: Spot abuse
Single customer redeeming a code 10x. Per-customer limit was 1. Investigation finds duplicate accounts. Code paused, fraud handled.
Scenario 4: A/B testing codes
Two similar codes (15% vs 20%) sent to different customer segments. Track which generates more revenue. The winner becomes the standard.
Tips
- Review weekly during campaigns: course-correct, don't just hope.
- Track new customer acquisition: a discount worth nothing if it cannibalizes existing customers.
- Compare channel performance: online vs in-store reveals where to invest marketing.
- Document insights: what you learn from one campaign informs the next.
