Slot overlap
Slots can't overlap. E.g., if Morning is 08:00-12:00, Afternoon can't start at 11:30.
Slot gaps
Day doesn't need full coverage. E.g., 08:00-12:00 + 14:00-18:00 (12:00-14:00 has no slot = no Smart Pricing rule applies).
When to use it
Scenario 1, classic salon, start with defaults Default 3 slots are a good start. Fine-tune after a few weeks if needed.
Scenario 2, early-customer segment Many early customers (5-9). New "Early bird" slot 05:00-09:00, discounted. Average customer stays in Morning 09:00-12:00.
Scenario 3, lunch break Many salons have 12-14 lunch. Skip this time in slots.
Scenario 4, evening spa Open only evenings (15-22). 3 custom slots fit salon nature.
Tips
- Don't make 15 slots, max 4-5. Customer can't process over-fine-tuning.
- Emoji marker helps customer visually, don't skip.
- Label should be customer-friendly: "Morning promo" beats "Time Slot 1."
- Active/inactive toggle is flexible, no rules on it = turn it off.
- Slot changes don't affect past bookings, only future.
- 24-hour event-style salons (e.g., 24/7 fitness) need more slots (Dawn, Morning, Mid, Evening, Night).
