The 3 channels (SMS, Email, Push), audience, tools, automations
Marketing campaigns
Bookinda's Marketing module operates on 3 channels at once, plus automations for ongoing customer engagement.
Where to find it
/manager/marketing. Sidebar Marketing menu.
The 3 channels
1. SMS marketing
Fast, direct, high open rate. Credit-based (1 SMS per recipient = 1 credit).
- Details: SMS marketing
2. Email marketing
Visual builder, richer content, A/B testing, detailed tracking. Credit-based.
- Details: Email marketing
3. Push notifications
Web and mobile app push. (Separate module, details in Notifications category.)
The 2 operation types
One-off campaign
Single campaign, you launch (now or scheduled). E.g., Black Friday 2026, Christmas promo.
Automation (event-trigger)
Event-based, runs automatically. E.g., birthday, booking reminder, lapsed-customer reactivation.
- → Details: Automations
Audience targeting
Audience can come from Customer Segments module, or ad-hoc filters:
- All customers
- New (registered in last 30 days)
- Returning (5+ bookings in 60 days)
- Lapsed (90+ days no visit)
- Big spenders (50,000+ HUF spend)
- Birthday (this month)
- Tag-based (custom tags)
- Custom customer list
Audience shows recipient count upfront.
Marketing tools
Short URL
Trackable short links (e.g., bookinda.hu/r/abc123). Counts clicks.
- → Details: Marketing tools
Link Builder
Custom booking links with pre-selected service / staff / promo code.
Promo code integration
Attach a promo code (auto-generated or custom) to a campaign, track redemption.
Plan base allocation
- Starter: 0 SMS, 0 email/mo (purchase only)
- Professional: 50 SMS, 500 email/mo base
- Business: larger allocation
Beyond allocation = extra credit purchase.
When to use it
Scenario 1, Black Friday promo SMS + email campaign: 30% off. Audience: everyone. Two sends (confirm + reminder).
Scenario 2, birthday campaign Automation: every birthday this month. Email + SMS, 20% gift.
Scenario 3, lapsed-customer reactivation One-off or automation: no visit in 90+ days. SMS: "We miss you! 15% off."
Scenario 4, new service launch Email campaign with visual builder. Headline, image, description, booking link. Only interested segment.
Scenario 5, recall (post-appointment) Automation: 60 days post-booking "Time for your next treatment!" message.
Tips
- Start with automations, not one-off. "Birthday" + "rebook" run automatic, you just review monthly.
- Small specific audience beats large general: 100-person VIP segment + personal offer outperforms 1000-person generic.
- Always check credits before campaign: SMS to 200 customers = 200 credits, email to 1000 = 1000 credits.
- Dual channel (SMS + email) raises open rate, but doubles cost.
- Short URL click tracking measures campaign success, always use.
- Send only to opt-in customers, GDPR-style.
