Sharing referral code

Bookinda gives you several tools to share your code. The return flow is auto-tracked.

Where to find it

/manager/account/referrals page. Top: your referral code.

The code

Unique string, auto-generated from your salon name + random suffix:

  • Example: "BeautySalon Ltd." salon code: "BEAUT3X7K"
  • Generated once, never changes
  • Max 8-10 chars

Sharing link

Public URL with code: https://bookinda.hu/register?ref=BEAUT3X7K

The ?ref= parameter tells Bookinda you referred them.

UTM parameters (campaign tracking)

To know which channel succeeded, add UTM: https://bookinda.hu/register?ref=BEAUT3X7K&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=spring2026

Dashboard

On referrals page:

  • Total referrals (PENDING + QUALIFIED + COMPLETED)
  • Completed (reward paid)
  • In progress (PENDING or QUALIFIED)
  • Total earned

Per-referral data

For each referred salon:

  • Salon name
  • Registration date
  • Status (PENDING / QUALIFIED / COMPLETED)
  • Plan (what they picked)
  • Reward (what you get, when)

Status flow

PENDING

New salon registered with your code but hasn't paid or hit min plan.

QUALIFIED

New salon picked qualifying plan or hit min threshold. Reward processing.

COMPLETED

Reward credited (subscription credit, SMS credit, or free month).

Time window

PENDING → QUALIFIED must happen in 30-90 days, otherwise timeout.

When to use it

Scenario 1, social post Facebook: "5 years on Bookinda. Want it? Here's my code: [link with UTM facebook-source]." Later see conversion count.

Scenario 2, conference talk Salon conference talk. Slide has QR with your code. Interested people scan.

Scenario 3, blog post Salon management blog. End-of-article: your referral code as link.

Scenario 4, gift to business partner Refer Bookinda to your supplier's other salon by email.

Tips

  • Don't skip UTM, otherwise you can't tell which channel converted.
  • QR code is strong for offline marketing (coffee table, office wall).
  • Sharing link is short because bookinda.hu is short, good for SMS too.
  • Help referred salon onboarding, if they stall, your reward doesn't come.
  • Don't let the 30-90 day window expire, nudge new salon to qualify.
  • Referrals tab deserves weekly review, don't let QUALIFIED status grow stale.
