Referral program overview
The 2 referral program types: tenant-level (Bookinda affiliate) and customer-level (in-salon)
Referral program
Bookinda runs 2 distinct referral systems.
The 2 programs
1. Tenant-level (Affiliate, Bookinda program)
You (salon owner) refer another salon to Bookinda. When they register and subscribe, you get a reward from Bookinda (subscription credit, SMS credits, or free month).
- Management page:
/manager/account/referrals - Global platform rule (SuperAdmin-configured)
2. Customer-level (Loyalty Referral, in-salon)
Your loyal customer refers a new customer to your salon. Both get loyalty points or a discount.
- Part of Loyalty Program module
- Per-tenant configurable (you set rewards)
→ This article covers the Tenant-level program. For customer-level: Loyalty referrals
How tenant-level works
- Activation: SuperAdmin activated the program, you can join
- Referral code: You get a unique code (e.g., "SALON1ABC")
- Share: link, code, social-share
- New salon registers with your code
- Qualification: New salon hits min plan (or pays one month)
- Reward: You get referrer reward, they get referee reward
Reward structure
You (referrer)
- 5,000 HUF (default, configurable)
- Or SMS credit, or free month
Referred salon (referee)
- 5,000 HUF (default, configurable)
- Or free month
Tracking
On /account/referrals page:
- Your current referral code
- Total referrals count
- PENDING / QUALIFIED / COMPLETED statuses
- Total earned
- List of referred salons so far
Limits
- Max referrals monthly (admin-configured)
- One salon can refer another only once (deduplication)
- No self-referral (block)
When to use it
Scenario 1, salon industry conference Run a Bookinda professional group. Share your referral code with members. 5 new salons register, you get 5,000 HUF each = 25,000 HUF subscription credit.
Scenario 2, salon-industry blogger Write about salon management. Embed referral code in Bookinda articles. Long-term income source.
Scenario 3, business partner referral Refer your supplier's other salon. Both profit.
Tips
- Share-link comes with UTM parameters, so source is measurable (blog post vs Facebook post).
- QUALIFIED doesn't skip COMPLETED: reward only after full COMPLETED.
- Free month is sometimes more attractive than credit, especially for price-sensitive new salons.
- Help the referred salon onboard, qualification may depend on a paid first month.
- Customer-level referral is completely separate, don't conflate.
