Connection (token-based flow)

5-minute connection, deep link, /start command

Telegram connection

Telegram connection is a 5-minute process. Token-based deep link: Bookinda generates a token, you paste in /start command in Telegram.

Step 1: Start connection in Bookinda

  1. Bookinda → Connect → Telegram
  2. + Connect with Telegram button
  3. Bookinda generates a 10-minute valid connection token
  4. Deep link appears: https://t.me/{botUsername}?start={token}

Step 2: Open Telegram

  1. Click deep link (or copy + open in Telegram)
  2. Telegram opens Bookinda bot
  3. Start button in Telegram (or /start {token} command auto-sent)

Step 3: Bot message

Bot replies:

✅ Successfully connected to Salon X tenant!

Available commands:
/status — connection status
/stop — disconnect
/help — help

You'll receive notifications per configured triggers.

Step 4: Bookinda redirect

In Bookinda UI you automatically see:

  • Connect → Telegram → Connected status
  • Telegram user info (name, chat ID)
  • Trigger configuration available

Token lifespan

Connection token is 10-minute valid. If expired:

  • Generate new token in Bookinda
  • New deep link
  • New /start

Multiple users / tenant

Multiple Telegram users can connect to one tenant:

  • Owner + Manager + Reception all separately
  • Each own trigger config
  • Each own quiet hours

Bot is single, but per-user sync.

Team group (advanced)

Bot can be added to a Telegram group (run /start command in group):

  • Every group member receives messages
  • Useful for reception group
  • Bot may need moderator permission in group

Disconnect

In Bookinda UI

Connect → Telegram → user row → Disconnect button. Connection ends, no more messages.

In Telegram

/stop command in bot chat. Same result.

Bot commands

Bot supports 4 commands:

  • /start {token}: connect (one-time use)
  • /status: current connection status, trigger counts
  • /stop: disconnect
  • /help: command list + links

When to use it

Scenario 1, salon owner first connection Owner: Connect → Telegram → button → deep link → Telegram opens → Start → done. 1 minute.

Scenario 2, reception team connection 3 receptionists connect separately. Each picks own triggers (e.g., Reception 1 only online bookings, Reception 2 everything).

Scenario 3, group connection Telegram group "Salon X Reception." Invite bot to group. /start in group. Group members all get messages.

Scenario 4, connection dispute Connection token expired. Generate new token in Bookinda. New deep link.

Scenario 5, employment-end unsubscribe Staff leaves salon. Bookinda Disconnect → no more salon-event messages.

Tips

  • 10-minute token lifespan is strict, don't let it lapse.
  • Deep link auto-opens Telegram on mobile click, desktop is longer URL-copy.
  • Multi-user supported, no worry about adding team members.
  • Group connection is advanced, test thoroughly with 1-2 groups first.
  • /stop command works from Telegram side too, opt-out respected.
  • Bot username is platform-level (@bookinda_notifications_bot or similar).
