Analytics Connect overview

Google Analytics 4 + Meta Pixel injection on salon public pages

Analytics Connect

Bookinda lets you integrate Google Analytics and Meta Pixel tracking on salon public pages (booking page, profile, customer portal). Measure customer traffic and marketing campaign results.

Where to find it

/manager/connect/analytics. Sidebar Connect → Analytics.

What it supports

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

  • Tracking ID: G-XXXXXXXXXX format
  • gtag.js injection
  • Auto page-view tracking on all public pages

Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel)

  • Pixel ID: numeric
  • Facebook SDK injection
  • Auto-PageView event on load

Other (currently no)

  • Google Tag Manager: currently no
  • Custom tracking script: currently no

What it tracks

Auto-tracking

  • Salon profile page open
  • Booking page open
  • Customer portal open
  • Embedded widget open

What it DOESN'T track (currently)

  • Conversion events (e.g., booking creation): no explicit Purchase event
  • E-commerce tracking (revenue, value): none
  • Cart abandonment: none

Current tracking is passive page-view only. For conversions, manually send events from Google Tag Manager (future feature).

Where tracking shows up

On salon public pages:

  • salon.bookinda.hu/ (profile)
  • salon.bookinda.hu/book/ (booking page)
  • salon.bookinda.hu/myaccount/ (customer portal)
  • Embedded widget (on a website with Bookinda widget)

Manager UI and Staff Portal are NOT tracked (business privacy).

Privacy and cookie consent

Currently no explicit cookie consent integration in Analytics module. Tracking auto-runs if IDs configured.

GDPR-wise:

  • Mandatory cookie banner on your salon public pages
  • Configurable in Bookinda Mini-website settings (if banner implementation)
  • Provide opt-out option

Plan level

Analytics integration available in all plans (Starter included).

When to use it

Scenario 1, salon marketing measurement GA4 account connected. See how many customers came from Facebook post to booking page. Conversion tracking.

Scenario 2, Facebook Ads optimization Meta Pixel injected. Facebook Ads sees booking-page opens. Retargeting campaign possible.

Scenario 3, customer journey analysis GA4 Path Analysis: which page did customers come from to booking? Where did they drop off?

Scenario 4, multi-channel attribution GA4 + Meta Pixel together. Customers from Facebook and Google measured separately.

Tips

  • Generate GA4 ID in Google Analytics (analytics.google.com): Admin → Property → Tracking Code.
  • Meta Pixel ID in Facebook Business Manager: Events Manager → Pixels → "Bookinda" pixel.
  • Tracking IDs are public (in HTML), but OK from salon owner perspective.
  • Lack of conversion events is current platform limit. Workaround: manually via GTM, or wait for future feature.
  • Cookie banner is salon responsibility, GDPR rule.
  • Salon-level or multi-location tracking: tenant-level config, not location-level.
