AI Assistant
The AI Assistant is a chat-based helper that reads your salon's data and answers questions or autonomously performs tasks.
Where to find it
- Floating chat button (bottom-right, purple gradient) – available everywhere in manager UI
- Settings:
/manager/settings/ai-assistant(4 tabs: Settings, Credits, Usage, Activity Logs) - Reports tab: Reports → AI Assistant (chat-based analysis)
What it does
Read-only questions (safe)
- "What was last week's revenue?"
- "Who are our top 3 staff by revenue?"
- "How many new customers in August?"
- "What did Anna Kovács last book?"
- "What's on tomorrow's calendar?"
Actions (require confirmation)
- Create booking ("Book Anna tomorrow 14:00 for haircut")
- Modify or cancel booking
- Create customer
- Redeem gift voucher or package
- Send SMS / email to a customer
Content generation
- Auto-generate service descriptions
- Aftercare instructions
- Translation
The 2 modes
Ask-mode (read-only)
Only data query, no changes. Ideal for questions.
Autonomous (autonomous actions)
AI proposes and after confirmation performs actions. E.g., new booking request: AI states details, you approve, it creates.
Destructive actions (cancel, modify, send) always need confirmation.
Data access
AI sees full salon data:
- Bookings, customers, services, staff
- Schedules, inventory, sales
- Vouchers, packages, promo codes
- Waitlist
Your role limits depth (Reception sees customer-level, Owner sees all).
AI provider
Backend is Anthropic Claude (default: Haiku 4.5, fast and cheap). Configurable to Sonnet or Opus, higher cost.
Limits and safety
- Max 5 tool-use rounds per message (infinite loop prevention)
- Confirmation required for destructive actions
- IP-level rate limit (20 messages/hour)
- Session-level limit (50 messages/session)
- Restricted topics option: only salon-relevant answers (off-topic refusal)
- Low temperature (0.3) to minimize hallucinations
Credit system
Token-based. Credit balance in HUF. Details: AI credits
When to use it
Scenario 1, quick business question "How much revenue did Anna Kovács bring last month?" → AI answers in seconds.
Scenario 2, ASAP booking request Customer emails: "Book me tomorrow morning." AI checks calendar, suggests time, you confirm, books.
Scenario 3, content generation "Write aftercare instructions for henna treatment" → AI generates, you edit, save.
Scenario 4, team mentor Staff can chat-ask: "What's the closing procedure?" → AI answers from custom instructions.
Scenario 5, autonomous marketing "Launch campaign to every 60-day-inactive customer with 15% off" → AI plans, you approve, sends.
Tips
- Start with read-only questions, see how it interprets. Then gradually allow actions.
- Always verify autonomous actions before approving.
- Credit consumption isn't message-count, it's token-based. Complex question = pricier.
- Custom instructions are powerful, add rules like "no discount above 30%."
- Floating button is draggable, put it where comfortable.
- Conversation history is stored, multi-turn chat is continuous.
