How to duplicate
Duplicate an existing form:
- Form list → 3-dot menu
- Duplicate
- New name (e.g., "Consultation v2")
- New form is created in Draft, original unchanged
Duplication inherits:
- Every field
- Settings
- Branding
Doesn't inherit:
- Submissions (separate)
- Trigger rules (set again)
- Service links (set again)
Template-pick flow
New form → Template gallery → Beauty: Haircut consultation selected → "Use this template":
- Template fields load
- Brand color is auto-yours
- Header image default (replaceable)
- Review fields, modify
- Switch to Active status
When to use it
Scenario 1, new salon, quick start Template pick → "Beauty: Haircut consultation" → light tweak → activate. 5 minutes, not 2 hours.
Scenario 2, similar form for new service Haircut consultation works well. New service: Coloring. Duplicate the haircut form, edit questions, link to Coloring service.
Scenario 3, seasonal variation Christmas Feedback form (specific theme). Duplicate normal Feedback, edit for Christmas, activate in December, deactivate in January.
Scenario 4, A/B test Two versions of same form. Duplicate, activate A and B, compare fill rate after a month.
Template updates
Platform occasionally updates industry templates. New templates don't affect existing forms (they stay on original version). Only suggested at new-creation time.
Tips
- Always start from template if possible. Industry templates are battle-tested.
- Duplication is fast, but don't make 10 versions. If 3 similar are needed, think: maybe one form with conditional logic is better.
- Templates auto-apply branding, consistent look.
- Watch platform updates occasionally, may bring new field types.
- Test duplication first, before activating. Naming conflicts possible.
- Don't name two active forms the same, customers won't tell them apart.
